This 0.290-inch, 1000-foot roll is intended for garden screens, patio and porch enclosures, sliding doors, patio doors, storm doors, and pool screens. Confirm the frame channel width before ordering.

• Measure the channel: Use a caliper or coin test to measure the frame slot width.
• Select diameter: Buy a spline size roughly equal to your channel measurement (common sizes are .140, .160, or .175 inches). Thicker mesh may require a slightly smaller diameter spline.
• Material type: Pick hollow-core vinyl for easy DIY pressing, or flat/serrated styles depending on your specific door or window brand.

Installation Steps

• Remove old material: Pry out the old cord using a flathead screwdriver or pick tool.
• Position mesh: Lay new fiberglass or aluminum mesh flat over the frame.
• Roll in the cord: Use a spline roller tool to press the cord into the groove, starting at the corners and pulling the mesh taut as you roll.
• Trim excess: Run a sharp utility knife along the outer edge of the channel to cut away extra mesh.

Lay the spline over the screen mesh within the frame channel, tuck the inner edge beneath the frame lip, and use a spline roller to press the outer edge into the channel. Confirm the flat-channel width before installation.
